Things That Happened When I Got Pregnant

By Lindsey Dickinson · Comments (0)

This is basically how I spent January — sick in bed, with a cat to keep me company.

In sort-of chronological order, numbered for my own comfort:

1) I cried. I was not sad, just a little surprised and overwhelmed. Within one hour of taking the pregnancy test I had to walk out of my house and get on a plane for a business trip to effing Las Vegas.

Each ballet class was given their own little corner of the ballroom where the girls could participate in “quiet” activities while they waited, waited, waited for their two-and-a-half minute turn on a darkened stage. It was time for the spring ballet recital. And goofiness was in full bloom.

In the midst of my shushing and corralling duties, I couldn’t help but notice how Nora would Read More→

Baby Book Fail

By Lindsey Dickinson · Comments (0)

As if I need another thing to worry about. Right now, we are in the throes of preparing to move, taking care of a sick toddler (bronchitis AND an ear infection), working our full-time jobs, attempting a healthier-lifestyle overhaul and generally trying to keep it together.

Last weekend, in a fit of desire to feel organized and in control, I decided I would Read More→

Sometimes Messy is Good!

I’m fortunate to have several friends who are gifted hosts. Some love to cook and bake, some have incredibly creative party theme ideas and they all know how to throw a great party.

Me? I’m not so gifted. I can’t ever seem to think of a truly creative party idea, I get overwhelmed by anything more than a small dinner and during any given week I’m satisfied to get myself, my husband and my kid Read More→

Convenient Thoughtfulness (CRINGE)

By Christy Eichers · Comments (1)
Monday, March 26th, 2012

When I talk about one of our regreet products, our hop-a-rounds, I usually say, “This is going to sound bad, but they make thoughtfulness convenient.” This message is usually met with nods of agreement and eyes widening in acknowledgment. Convenient thoughtfulness – I just cringe when Read More→
